Our practice

Bongaree Dental was founded in 2000 and has been serving the local community ever since.

During this time it has been extensively renovated and improved so patients may benefit from a comprehensive range of dental treatments conveniently located under one roof.

We are extremely proud of our well-equipped and maintained practice and of our dental team’s ability to provide the highest levels of care to our patients. We are all committed to on-going training as we want every patient to benefit from the very latest techniques.

Our Philosophy

Dr Nachiket Jagirdar B.D.Sc

Dr Nachiket Jagirdar grew up in Mumbai, India and qualified as a dentist from Bharati Vidyapeeth University in 2008. Since then he has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in general dentistry and completed a Mini Residency in Prosthodontics in 2014. Dr Nach is committed to helping his patients improve and maintain their oral health. As a self-confessed perfectionist, Dr Nach enjoys the intricacies and creativity required in dentistry.

Dr Nach has lived on Bribie Island since 2013 and would love to be considered a local someday. He finds the people very friendly and enjoys being part of the local community. An avid follower of cricket, Dr Nach also likes a round of golf.

Dr Sean Keren B.D.Sc (Melb.)

Dr Sean Keren graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2000. He began his professional career in both the private and the public sector, working with special needs patients and the underprivileged.

In 2007 he relocated to Bribie Island with his young family where he joined a small, single dentist practice. In 2008 Dr Keren became the principle dentist at Bongaree Dental which he expanded and rebuilt with state of the art equipment. Today he has two other associate dentists and a hygienist working closely with him providing all aspects of dentistry to the community. His passion for providing the highest standards of patient care is recognized by the fact that his patients travel from South Brisbane and far North Queensland for their dental treatment.

Dr Keren’s interests lie in Advanced Surgical procedures such as dental implants, bone grafting and the removal of impacted wisdom teeth. He is committed to ongoing dental education and is passionately involved in regular surgical training.

Dr Keren is a member of the ADA, Australian Society of Implant Dentistry (ASID) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Dr Israel Needham BDS

Dr Israel Needham grew up in Toowoomba and completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Distinction at James Cook University, in Cairns, in 2019. Israel has a passion for helping underserviced populations and completed placements in remote areas of Australia including stints in the Torres Strait and remote western communities of Queensland.

After graduating, Israel moved to Brisbane to be closer to her family. Since graduating, Dr Israel has completed a number of courses in cosmetic dentistry and is currently enrolled in her Post Graduate Diploma of Orthodontics. Dr Israel is enthusiastic about providing the highest quality dental care to her patients and enjoys educating her patients on preventative measures to improve their oral health.

Kelly Spargo

Kelly Spargo grew up in Glasshouse Mountains, QLD but has lived locally since 2003. Kelly qualified as a certified surgical dental assistant in 2007 and completed a Diploma in Practice Management in 2014. Kelly is our Practice Manager and Patient Co-ordinator. Kelly can help if you have any queries about appointments or treatments and you will quickly realise, she is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smile. Kelly helps organise a number of fundraising days that are held annually at Bongaree. Away from dentistry, Kelly loves spending time with her family and most of all her 2 little children. Loves to travel and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. Every year she supports charities that help children undergoing cancer treatment and Cancer research which is very close to her heart.

Abby Orchard

Abby Orchard grew up in Dayboro in Queensland and has lived on Bribie Island since 2011 after plenty of family holidays to the Island. Abby is our administration manager and infection control manager. She makes sure the quality of our services are incomparable and that our patients are always happy. Our patients care and infection control are her top priorities. Outside of dentistry, Abby enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Kirby Gartner

Kirby Gartner has only lived locally since 2020 after spending a lot of weekends growing up on Bribie Island with her family and friends. Kirby joined our team late 2020 where she quickly became qualified as a certified Surgical Dental nurse. She is now assisting alongside our principal dentist, Dr Keren, ensuring each patient receives quality care every visit. Kirby feels very passionate about her outstanding patient care and infection control within the practice. Outside of dentistry, Kirby loves to spend time doing adventurous activities and making memories with her close ones.

Our technology

At Bongaree Dental, we feel it is very important to invest in the latest technologies for the comfort and well-being of our patients. Our state-of-the-art equipment enables us to diagnose and plan even the most complex treatments under one roof. Whether you require a simple filling or full mouth rehabilitation, there is no need to worry about travelling to other locations for diagnostic tests. Our technology includes:

  • Intra-oral camera
  • Digital x-rays
  • OPG x-rays
  • CT Scanner /Cone Beam scanner

All our x-rays are digital, enabling the images to be viewed immediately by our dental team. We can quickly take an image which may range from a single tooth to a panoramic view of your mouth. If you intend to have dental implants, we have an on-site CT scanner which is used to accurately plan implant and reconstructive surgeries and is very useful in diagnosing additional dental problems such as impacted teeth and jaw joint disorders.
